luddite's Old Computer Challenge:

It looks like luddite (from the 68kmla forums) couldn't wait for July for the actual Retro-Challenge, and created his own warm-up challenge in anticipation. Well, I'm an impatient mofo too and signed up! He's doing this over the month of January, and I decided to participate for two weeks starting mid-month on the 15th. I would start earlier, but I'm waiting on a PowerBook 170 to arrive so I can take my old-school computing on the road.

I won't be able to completely give up my Dell laptop over the time period because my job requires some apps that only run under Windows XP, but other than those instances I should be able to get by on the IIcx at home and the 170 on the road. This blog format is very simple, allowing me to easily create the pages in a standard text editor on either old Mac, and I'll just ftp the content over to whatever server I decide to host the pages on.

Now I just need to get everything set up before the 15th and I'll be ready!
